Experiment Management

GlycoPattern supports the storage of Glycan Array experimental results from the Consortium for Functional Glycomics. We currently support arrays version 4.0 to 5.1 To import your data into GlycoPattern, simply copy and paste the average RFU intensity value for your experiment using the Add New Experiment page in GlycoPattern. The data should be ordered by the id numbers listed on the Resource Page from the CFG for your array version.

Data Mining

GlycoPattern has integrated with GlycanMotifMiner to provide the ability to discover motifs on CFG Glycan Arrays. GlycoPattern also performs hierarchical clustering on GBP experiments with respect to similarity in motif binding and visualizes the results using a Dendrogram. We also developed a Heatmap tool to compare multiple experiments side-by-side to help visualize which particular glycans bind and don't bind to different GBPs (or even the same GBP at different concentrations).


Structure Search
Modified IUPAC Condensed format

Search for structures or substructures using the Modified IUPAC Condensed format. In Modified IUPAC condensed format, the anomeric carbon is included. The search also supports the branched like nature of certain glycan sequences. Branching in IUPAC is indicated by an opening and closing parenthesis around a sequence. For example, Mana1-3(Mana1-6)Manb1-4 would represent the following structure:
